STUDENT | ENTREPRENEUR | LEADER
Hello! Welcome to my page, my name is Martin McMurray and I am a senior currently studying Finance. I grew up in Mundelein, a suburb of Chicago and attended Mundelein High School, graduating in 2019 with summa cum laud. In 2021, I graduated with an Associates in Accounting from the College of Lake County, transferring to the University of Illinois in Fall 2021. At the University of Illinois I have excelled academically, earning the Dean's List in Fall of 2021 and maintaining the status of James Scholar within the Gies School of Business. Prior to attending UIUC, I was the assistant scoutmaster and treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 195 and the treasurer of the CLC chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. While in the Boy Scouts, I earned the rank of Eagle Scout and was initiated into the Brotherhood of the Order of the Arrow. I was also a troop guide and counselor for the National Youth Leadership training from 2018 to 2020, where I taught a group of young Scouts the necessities of leadership. Outside of the Boy Scouts, I am also a third-degree Knight of Columbus. After I graduate in the spring of 2023, I intend to pursue a career in Corporate Finance or Management Consulting.
